Since giving his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, Derrol has found joy in sharing his love for God with others through song. For years friends and family encouraged him to record his music onto CDs. As he and Cindy contemplated producing the Above the Clouds CD they felt a great responsibility to study the subject of music.  

They sensed that music production is not a venture to be entered upon lightly. You see, someone may listen to a sermon on CD once or twice and then pass it on, but they will listen to a music CD over and over again. Therefore, the message of the music is of critical importance.  

When the Above the Clouds CD was made the Sawyers began to be invited to various places to share their testimony in word and song. Derrol and Cindy found that wherever they went someone would ask questions as to how to "clean up" their music library.  In answer they would simply share the things they were learning in their own studies. It wasn't long before they were being encouraged to put these things together in a presentation format, to help more than a few people at a time.

The Message of the Music Seminar is simply a gathering of information from the excellent books that are available here Moses' Song. These books are easy to read and understand. We pray that you will take the time to learn the principles they share so that you can have the tools you need to glorify God in your music choices.

Derrol's Testimony:

Raised in the church by his hardworking single mom, Derrol Sawyer, longed for fame and the "lights, camera, action!" in New York City. Music in the Balance Teaching Kit
